2017 ARIA Award Winners

Without a doubt, 2017’s ARIA Awards was one for the ages. Not only were the winners rightly chosen, but the list of nominees this year were all deserving in each their own way. Last night, the 31st ARIAs Awards took over Sydney with both Gang of Youth and Amy Shark sweeping the most statues.

Golden girl, Amy Shark, took home Breakthrough Artist and Best Pop Release, while Gang of Youths smashed the evening, being awarded Apple Music Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Group. Other notable winners include

Sia, once again, knocked out Best Female Artist while Harry Styles was finally able to receive Best International Artist in person—adding to his collection of One Direction’s multiple gongs in said category. Paul Kelly was another notable winner on the night, being accoladed for Best Male Artist and Best Contemporary Artist—rounding out of the biggest years for the acclaimed Australian singer-songwriters.
