Amy Shark & Courtney Barnett Lead 2018 ARIA Award Nominations

The full 2018 ARIA Awards nominees list and here and it’s time to accept the truth and bow down to our female musician overlords, Amy Shark and Courtney Barnett. The Gold Coast rising star sweeps the categories with nine overall nominations and the latter coming in at a very respectable seven.

PNAU also retain seven nominations including Best Dance Release and Tash Sultana closely following with a hefty six behind his debut ‘Flow State’ album. Other notable mentions go to DZ Deathrays who could sweep the Hard Rock/Metal award for ‘Bloody Lovely’, making it their three for three.

The Presets, Angus & Julia Stone, Ball Park Music, DMA’S, Jack River, Vance Joy, Alison Wonderland, RÜFÜS DU SOL also gain nods in their respective categories.
