Yes, Cambridge’s NYE Street Party is back and bigger than ever! Fans of alternative, electronic, and hip hop can spend the last moments of 2016 with some off-hook acts across two stages, with the addition of an indoor stage this year for easier access to services across the party.
Some massive acts took the 2015 party off its feet with Ball Park Music, Thundamentals, and more ripping up the street. This year can only be bigger, and the organisers haven’t pulled any punches, as the 2016 street party will showcase Aussie guns like Melbourne MC Illy, Perth indie crew San Cisco, and indietronic outfits The Kite Stringe Tangle and Boo Seeka.
In addition, multi-instrumentalist icon Kim Churchill will WOW you out, while Newcastle legends Rave Tapes will ignite the party vibes. Not to mention Lyall Moloney, Jayteehazard, and Bootleg Rascal will also join in on the killer genre-mixed lineup. If thats not enough to shake your bones, Newcastle’s local DJ’s will be kicking endless beats til next year!
To fuel the night the party will offer a tasty range of local eats and treats. Party-goers can also check out the range of live art and market stalls on offer to finalise their bangin’ NYE experience.
