City Calm Down Unveil Album Tour Dates

Hot on the heels of the release of their second studio album, ‘Echoes In Blue‘, released 6 April via I OH YOU, City Calm Down have announced their tour schedule for Australia and New Zealand.

Hitting the road, the four-piece will be playing some of the biggest venues in their booming career. Tackling all capital cities, including a stop in Newcastle, City Calm Down will perform to crowds at The Tivoli in Brisbane, Melbourne’s The Forum, Metropolis in Fremantle and more.

Having drip fed singles for the past few months, City Calm Down’s second body of work is set to the be their most resound and resolute. Singles such as In The Modern Land and Blood expand their sound into far more grandiose post-punk. Frontman Jack Bourke talked about what they anticipated from this new album and how paramount it was in getting it right.

“We wanted to start opening new doors, but we weren’t really thinking about what might follow. We were conscious of not repeating ourselves, while also wanting to keep some of the things we really liked about the first record: aspects of the sound palette and emotion,” said Bourke.

Tickets to all Australian shows went on sale yesterday HERE. Don’t delay—these won’t last long! Stream their latest album cut, Joan, I’m Disappearing.
