Cut Copy Announce (Proper) Australian Return

Oh happy days! Cut Copy, one of Australia’s biggest exports in electronica and indie dance music, are making their return to the live stage this July for a pair two very special shows.

If you’re in Sydney or Melbourne, the Melbourne four-piece will be hitting the Metro Theatre and the Croxton, respectively. Cut Copy will also be performing at this year’s Splendour in the Grass.

It’s nothing but news for the band today as they’ve also announced their recently signed record deal with Astralwerks / EMI. Promising new music on the horizon, and now with a new label to boot, these preview shows will be a treat for long time fans of the group.

Last year Cut Copy released January Tape–an ambient, short collection of tracks that diverted away from the band’s usual anthemic indie electronic sounds. While it released under little fanfare, the EP holds some of Cut Copy’s finest works and shows the band’s incredible diversity and musicality. 2013’s Free Your Mind was the group’s last full release so it will be nothing short of exciting to catch some new tunes at these performances.

Scope the full dates below–these are one night only so don’t miss out! Special guests Harvey Sutherland and Bermuda will appear at both Sydney and Melbourne shows.
