Sydney indie rockers Castlecomer have been teasing us since August with their latest track Judy, and now we can finally enjoy ‘All Of The Noises’ of their latest EP. With its summery, easy-listening style, ‘All Of The Noises’ is the aural equivalent to a cruise through the pacific.

Introducing the EP is Fire Alarm, a dance-heavy track full of surprises. Raw guitar in the opening lines leads into raspy vocals, and the band soon picks up the pace with quick, light drum beats. The guitar hook gives edge and depth to the track, keeping things interesting while muffled guitars in the chorus build up beneath the vocals.

Second track The Noise brings a whole lot of light into the EP. An easy guitar riff and drumbeat introduce the song, building up until Bede Kennedy’s vocals kick off a steady-paced verse. His vocals are effortless, and neatly complemented by soaring guitar melodies.

Judy slows down the EP, creating an eerie yet funky beat that’s still perfect for a dance! Kennedy’s voice is deep and sexy in this track and almost serenades you to move your body along. The entire song injects the album with a psychedelic twist and is a groovy switch up of vocal tones within the EP.

Like all of Castlecomer’s tracks, Get In Line is the perfect driving soundtrack – envision racing down the highway with the roof down and the wind running through your hair. Floating vocals highlight Kennedy’s lower vocal range and accompany a cheery guitar rhythm, creating a similar yet more upbeat sound to The Noise.

Rounding things off is Escapism, the fastest track on the EP. Soft, calming vocals balance the a bouncing drum beat and quick bass guitar, creating a combination that delivers that summer vibe we’re all craving and will have you dreaming of beach volleyball and surfing. The track ends with punchy group vocals and one more chorus round, a feel-good end to a solid EP.

An electric odyssey of alternative pop, ‘All of the Noise’ is an EP you’ll want to keep on hand during your beach days and warm summer nights! Check out the music video for Judy below!
