In breaking news for Queenslanders, promoters’ Garry Van Egmond and Chugg Entertainment today announced Brisbane’s second and Australia’s seventh Prince concert.
His Royal Purpleness will play the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday May 26, just over one week after his Friday May 18 concert at the venue.
Tickets will go on-sale this Monday April 23 at 10AM from www.ticketek.com.au
“The demand for a second Brisbane concert was obvious and we’re delighted we’ve been able to juggle the touring schedule and successfully negotiate a Saturday night, one week later, on May 26,” promoter Garry Van Egmond said.
“We really wanted a Saturday night for those fans who would need to travel,” he continued.
“We are really very pleased we’ve been able to make this happen for Queensland fans but,” Van Egmond cautioned, “the itinerary will not allow for a third concert and this will definitely be the last Prince show for Brisbane.”
Prince will perform on a symbol-shaped stage; a unique and spectacular production experience that those ‘in the know’ say ‘will blow your mind’.
Its intimate 360-degree composition, in the middle of the arena floor, brings all four corners of the venue closer than a traditional stage-end set up.
Prince’s May 2012 visit will be his third tour of Australia and his first in nine years.
Hot on the Cuban heels of his 2010 and 2011 Welcome to America and Welcome to Canada tours, Prince’s May Welcome to Australia tour is his only confirmed tour of 2012.
Don’t miss this exclusive chance; in opportunity and experience.
