Jackson Dyer Releases Dreamy Folky Single Ahead Of EP

Releasing the third and final single from his upcoming EP ‘Compartments’, Australian singer-songwriter, and producer Jackson Dyer has now dropped a soothing folk inspired ballad to add to the previous tracks The Absolute and Steal Away.

Where his last two tunes were magnificent slow burners, Projection Abstraction is refreshingly upbeat. With a simplistic yet beautiful arrangement of sweeping guitar strums and organic drums, Dyer’s undeniably comforting tone shines throughout, making this arguably the most promising insight into the upcoming EP.

Jackson explains, “I’m often left questioning the disconnect between the music industry and the ‘real world’. The reality of being a musician, especially a solo songwriter, is that you spend many hours in the studio or on the road alone, living parallel to everyday life. Projection Abstraction is about those emotions that I think many of us feel at harder times in our lives and careers.”

It’s been a busy few years for Dyer, after moving to Berlin three years ago he has since shared the stage with the likes of Hozier and Hiatus Kaiyote. This upcoming EP ‘Compartments’ is the result of extensive studio time where he focused hard on crafting his sound, and if these singles are anything to go by, we can’t wait to see what he has in store!
