New Double Shot of Indie Rock Anyone?

Harry Hearts with Flowers (The Retaliation)

Harry Heart - Flowers Streams

One of Australia’s most promising song writers, Harry Heart, is back in action following the release of dark, introspective single Flowers (The Retaliation)

An emotional, alt-rock jam, Heart’s newest work is the first taste off a currently unnamed upcoming EP that is scheduled for release in late September. Flowers (The Retaliation) is thought – provoking and up – tempo. The combination of vocal elegance and sweet electronic undertones, provides honest insight into Heart’s personal state that is lovely and raw.

On the track, Heart said:

“I read recently that artists can make something beautiful out of the sh*t situations in life and I reckon that’s pretty true…Sh*tty emotions can fuel great music. I felt some emotions I’d never felt before during that time but it culminated in this song.”

Hot Spoke with Outlines

Hot Spoke - Outlines Stream

Sydney-based indie-rockers, Hot Spoke, have released a new single in the form of Outlines, a smoky and enveloping tune, complimented by fragile yet brooding vocals.

Inspired by the scuzzy sounds of indie bands including The Smiths and Jesus Mary Chain, Outlines is a slow burner. A subtle melancholic acoustic guitar connects beautifully with vocalist Ness Muir’s haunting voice. Combined with reverb-effected drums, the single is the perfect atmospheric soundtrack to get you through the cold days of winter.

Hot Spoke have recently been in the studio recording their debut EP, with plans on releasing new work in August.
