Red Deer Music & Arts Festival Go To Space And Back For Their 2017 Lineup

Now in its seventh (!) year, one of Brisbane’s, nay, Australia’s, greatest BYO music festivals, Red Deer Music & Arts Festival, has announced the round of artists for its 2017 lineup. Along with the lineup, the festival is also launching into it’s yearly theme–this time around, Space Oddity.

Captaining the top of the bill is Sydney indie rock champions the Preatures followed by the Kite String Tangle who’s fresh from announcing his debut album. Also featured on the lineup is Band of Frequencies, Shag Rock, The Cool Clam, Mezko, just to name a few.

The festival, known for its true emergence of genre and musicality in its diverse lineups, its 2017 edition is no exception. From folk and rock, to electronica and roots, Red Deer Music & Arts Festival is truly one of Australia’s greatest music festivals on the circuit. 2017 will also be the first year to debut a third live music stage to compensate for its incredible bill of musicians performing this year. Festival co-founder, Bas Pelly, says the festival’s expansion is a sign of bigger and better things to come.

“We’re pumped that we can finally provide a third stage area as it allows us to get even more awesome locals bands and a greater variety of artists involved. We encourage performers and artist of all types to apply to be a part of this new, eclectic program”, says Pelly.

Along with the incredible music lineup, the festival also takes its stride in a full immersive and creative arts installation experience around the festival. A smorgasbord of activities and further entertainment will feature around the festival grounds including dancing, meditation, workshops and more–including the return of the infamous Red Deer sack-race.

Taking place, once again, at Mt Samson in Queensland, Red Deer Music & Arts Festival will take place on Saturday 14 October. Tickets are available now with a complete range of VIP packages and camping passes to suit any festival punters’ dreams.
