The Brian Jonestown Massacre Announce Australian Tour

The Brian Jonestown Massacre is a name riddled in psychedelic fame and iconoclast. The group will make their long awaited return to Australia this June for an extensive run of headline shows. They’ll being with them their new album, ‘Something Else’ and a slew of amazing classics.

The band will be playing venues across the country starting in Perth at Metropolis, before moving onto Adelaide, Byron Bay, Brisbane and Sydney. The Brian Jonestown Massacre will then tackle Wollongong at Uni Bar before heading to The Basement in Canberra, Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal and wrapping it all up at The Forum in Melbourne. In addition to the headline tour dates, The Brian Jonestown Massacre have been personally invited to perform at Vivid Live—Sydney’s month-long premiere celebration of arts, culture and dance held at the Opera House a selection of pristine art spaces around the city.

For more than 28 years, across 17 studio albums, The Brian Jonestown Massacre has cross borders, barriers and hurdles to receive their current claim to fame today. Prolific and forever signalling a change in both the musical and social landscape, the group have forged ahead in their own psychedelic formula. ‘Something Else’ is the group’s latest long-player and will continue to experiment in their own unique, avant-garde way.

Stephen Farris, of Vivid Live, reinforces this ideology and expands of the group’s significant cultural impact.
