Xylouris White Cruising To Headline Shows

Cretan folk duo Xylouris White have dropped some pretty stellar news in the form of a return to Aussie shores on the back of their second album ‘Black Peak’. These guys have been shredding the Billboard World Music charts, with their debut album peaked at #1! They’ll be headlining shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as stopping in at the WOMADelaide and Woodford Folk festivals, so it’ll be a good chance to have a rootin’ lute-in’ good time!

Trophy Eyes

The Hunter Valley’s own rockers Trophy Eyes are heading around Australia on their biggest headline tour to date to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Chemical Miracle’! These guys have spent most of 2016 on the road in some capacity, whether it was their show at UNIFY earlier this year or their support slots on The Amity Affliction’s Australian and US tours. The Newie lads will be starting their tour in their home town at The Cambridge Hotel, and hitting dates on the East Coast and Adelaide, so if you are frothin’ for a moshin’, get down to your local date!

Electro Psychonauts Willow Beats will be out and about late this year as well in support of their freshest single Dvaraka Pt II. They just wowed crowds at Listen Out Festival across the nation, and now the uncle-niece duo are looking to bring it back around in a more intimate setting in December! They’ll be supported by fellow electro artist Golden Vessel, with East Coast dates, and two dates in WA!

Kurt Vile has been cruising around for a fair few years, but he’s never been on a headline tour in Australia, until now, that is! Vile’s latest album, ‘B’lieve I’m Goin Down’ dropped last year and picked up some pretty resounding praise, and now he’s coming down under for a very different spread of shows in all sorts of venues! He’ll be packing out zoos, festivals and performing arts centres when he arrives in March next year.

Californian indie rockers Warpaint are heading back to the East Coast for the third time in Australia! After previous visits with spots at Splendour in the Grass and Laneway, the band have come back for spots at The Sydney Opera House, Brisbane’s Triffid, and the Melbourne Zoo’s Twilights sessions! Their live shows are known to dazzle audiences, so it won’t be one to miss!

Canberra feminist punk rockers Glitoris have announced their debut EP and an accompanying east coast tour coming in November. The Quartet are known for heavy-hitting punk sounds with “Monster drumming and strong guitar work”, as well as some thick vocal harmonies. The band supported Regurgitator in a recent tour, and signed with Buttercup Records after generating some pretty heated discussion with their work!

Expect some cool artwork for this one, and even if that somehow doesn’t come to pass, expect some great live show, as many Brisbanites learnt at their BIGSOUND showcase!
