Suicide Silence Headline Tour Is Coming Down Under
Suicide Silence finally announce their highly anticipated return to Australia! Since absolutely killing it at Soundwave in 2014, the Californian 4-piece now fronted by Eddie Hermida (from All Shall Perish), replacing the late Mitch Lucker, will return to Australia in September, hitting the usual capital city haunts.
Their 2014 album ‘You Can’t Stop Me’ was well received despite skepticism from fans who weren’t sure whether Hermida would be able to fill the enormous shoes of Suicide Silence’s original frontman. The release of ‘The Black Crown’ in 2011 was considered Suicide Silence’s biggest success with songs like You Only Live Once showcasing Lucker’s immense vocal range over a brutal death metal soundtrack.
Keeping to the signature Suicide Silence sound Hermida was able to capture the aggression and rawness of what Mitch Lucker was about while introducing his own unique vocal nuances such as gut-wrenching growls and high pitch squeals.
After having silenced critics with their first release since Lucker’s death and having been rather quiet about their new album until a few months ago, you can expect them to be equipped with some epic new material.
