Childish Gambino Drops Soulful & Funky New Single “Redbone”
Just last week Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover released Me and Your Mama, a six-minute rollercoaster of a track lifted from his forthcoming album ‘Awaken, My Love!’. But the sneak peaks don’t end there as the rapper/actor/producer/God amongst men is keeping fans on the hook with a new single Redbone.
Overflowing with funky soul, sultry piano, and back-beats of light drums, Redbone hits all the right spots. The layers of neo-funk and soul along with Gambino’s higher vocals is a combination destined to ignite your subconscious love for whiskey, slow swaying, and sassy finger clicks.
Glover is defs keeping everyone on their toes, delivering a dramatic contrast between Redbone and Me and Your Mama. The structure, chorus harmonies, and overlapping bass create a much-needed sense of progression. We’re not really sure what to expect from his upcoming headlining sets at Falls Festival!
