Elm Street Packing Plenty of Punch in New Single
Melbourne’s own heavy metal champions Elm Street have released a fierce new song, Kiss The Canvas. Having been around for 13 years now (the most metal amount of years), Elm Street has returned to the public eye with the first taste of their second album, ‘Knock ‘Em Out…With A Metal Fist’.
Kiss The Canvas features a classic-power metal inspired sound with new production techniques. Ripping guitar riffs pierce throughout the song against rapid-fire drumming and aggressive, howling vocals. The track has an ol’ school 80s sound that will be familiar to any fans of the style.
The new material from the band marks their first release since 2011’s ‘Barbed Wire Metal’, and Kiss The Canvas shows they have no plans to slow down or change their raucous sound!
However, perhaps the most interesting part about the new Elm Street music is the artwork for the new album. The cover of ‘Knock ‘Em Out… With A Metal Fist’ is guaranteed to be the most awesomely retro-heavy metal artwork you will see all day.
Even if the rest of the album happens to be not great, people would still buy this album based off the cover, it’s that cool!
