Flicker Vertigo Drops Fresh Psychedelic Track “Life in Bloom”

Prolific psych-rocker Flicker Vertigo has dropped the first single of his upcoming fourth album with Life in Bloom. Flicker Vertigo is the brainchild of Victorian Nathan Nicholson, and after dropping three killer instrumental albums in 2015 this latest track sees him popping his vocal cherry.

Life in Bloom is a vibrant psychedelic track bursting with layers of complexity and overdriven guitars. The track begins with a humming combination of afro-drums and bass before exploding into a mountain of psychedelic sounds.

The first half of the song sees Flicker Vertigo’s melodies float over psych grooves, before the crunching sounds of a warped guitar carry you into a spaced-out oblivion.

Recorded in the Victorian surfer town of Rosebud, you can definitely hear the influence the recording environment and Nicholson’s passion for nature plays in his music. Life in Bloom exudes a dreamy aura while achieving a vibrant soundscape that feels like it’s continuously moving.
