Louis Berry’s Gritty Music Video Hits The Nail On The Head
As a young man in Liverpool, Louis Berry explained how the house he grew up in barely had a roof and how it resembled more of a shed. But that didn’t stop this English rocker from picking up a guitar and giving it his all, and it shows in his newest video clip Restless.
Having already gained nearly 50,000 views in just under a week, Louis Berry is making his mark in all the best ways.
Restless could best be described as gritty rockabilly and Louis Berry absolutely makes it his own, with a video clip that goes from showing his family home, to him standing in the middle of a group of angst-filled protesters and a line of armoured police offices. The video itself just resonated old school hard knocks England and it is certainly fitting for the song.
The song itself is a refreshing take on an old style of music, and Louis’s vocal range delivers a slow melodic rhythm which finishes on a up-tempo tone. This is one of those songs you’d expect to be playing in an pub, before it catches you surprisingly off-guard and has you coming back for more. Think early Mumford & Sons mixed with a little bit of soul and gruffness, and you’ll be in the ball park for this track.
Louis’s personal story is just as interesting as his music is invigorating, and he’s opened himself up to the world in a three part mini-series depicting his earlier life.I
t’s obvious that his upbringing had a significant impact on his music, but as I mentioned earlier he has made it his own and if Restless is anything to go off it is only going to get better!
