Perth Rockers Nautical Mile Go The Distance In “Flight Risk” Video

nautical-mile

Australia’s newest kids on the pop-punk block Nautical Mile have released their latest single, lifted from their upcoming EP ‘Playing for Keeps’. Flight Risk doesn’t push any boundaries but uses a catchy pop-punk sound that will have listeners hooked from the get-go. Opening with catchy guitars and sing-along “oohs!”, Nautical Mile have produced a jam which has all the elements of an instant high-energy rock winner.

Having formed in 2015, the quintet combine heavy rhythms with catchy pop vocals, a sound which could be heard on their self-titled debut EP. Overall, Flight Risk is a cross between Sum 41 and 5 Seconds Of Summer, with a heavier hardcore feel thrown in for good measure.

The video shows the band rocking out in a dimly lit room with a pumping smoke machine. The building mist in the video adds a mysterious atmosphere to the upbeat track, as the singer gives viewers a tour of the smoke-filled stage and the band throw down everything they’ve got around him. With this video, Nautical Mile effectively capture the dark and smoky setting of a gig for you to enjoy from the comfort of your living room.

Nautical Mile’s second EP is due for release in the first week on January 2017, so in the meantime check out Flight Risk below!
