Retro Culture Drops ‘Stranger Things’ Inspired Chill-Banger “Fading”

Melbourne producer and instrumentalist Retro Culture has just dropped his gloriously chill electronic track Fading and it’s sure to put a smile on your dial! Fading was co-produced with Jack Arentz (Kult Klyss, I Know Leopard) and mastered by Huntley Miller (Bon Iver’s new album, Sylvan Esso), and took over a year to perfect.

If you’re planning on going for a long drive tonight, this is the song you’ll want to play! Fading’s dreamy soundscape features a catchy electro-pop beat, while smooth, falsetto vocals echo throughout. The track features hints of jazz and extra-terrestrial sounds and is a refreshing change from your run-of-the-mill electro-pop tracks.

Drums, guitar, bass, synths, and brass instruments help to demonstrate the 80s vibe present in ‘Stranger Things’, a Netflix Original Series which Retro Culture said was a major influence in producing the track, “I was loving the soundtrack to that show and it gave me this second wind of inspiration to finish the single”.

Retro Culture unexpectedly received international acclaim after his single Cold went viral last year, and his follow-up single Thread also caught the attention of tastemakers worldwide.
