Stormtide Prepare To Unleash Wrath With Debut Album
The Melbourne symphonic death-metal sextet are set to release their anticipated debut album ‘Wrath Of An Empire’ within the next month. Combining their metal roots with classical and oriental influences, Stormtide are no strangers to testing the waters and breaking new ground.
Following the release of their first EP ‘A Skald’s Tale’ and a successful international touring stint opening for the likes of Luveitie, Finntroll and Gloryhammer, Stormtide have spent the better part of the last few years perfecting their sound.
The band say their debut is a concept album, with each song telling a different part of the story.
“Wrath Of An Empire is an intricately woven, nine part epic tale of ruin, heroism and dark deeds centered around the adventures of the Warrior, the Prince and the Magician,” a statement from the band says. Sounds pretty compelling to us!
Featuring epic orchestral movements, huge guitar riffs and brutal vocals, ‘Wrath Of An Empire’ is out August 1st, and is an album sure to please even the most niche metal fans.
