1tbsp Drops Genre-Defying New EP ‘Hotel Living’ Featuring Cherry Chola, DJ ADHD and More
Australian electronic producer and DJ 1tbsp has officially released his highly anticipated new EP, ‘Hotel Living’, delivering a bold, boundary-pushing collection of tracks that blur the lines between club culture and vibrant global influences.
Following a strong lead-up of singles like Wet Peak Stars, Rush (Missing Out On Me) and Isso, the full six-track EP showcases 1tbsp’s signature blend of underground house, eclectic rhythms, and melodic experimentation. New standouts include Dolly Destructiva, It Hurts So Bad, and Rosas Y Besitos, featuring standout collaborations with Cherry Chola, DJ ADHD, and MC Pânico.
Leaning into themes of chaos and intimacy, Hotel Living pulls from the energy of city nightlife but places it within a more personal, confined space—like a hotel room turned dancefloor. With nods to French house nostalgia and Latin-influenced grooves, 1tbsp crafts an immersive listening experience that’s both innovative and club-ready.

“Hotel Living feels like a zeroed in extension to my previous release Megacity1000. I wanted to find a concept that still had the busy-ness and variety of a city but could exist within a room, and hotel living came to mind. Unexpectedly, all the songs are very upbeat and to me feel like this mix between sensitivity and rushing.
The process was similar to how I always work. I make hundreds of sketches, usually a few a day, until some start to stand out. Also in DJing, I like to explore sounds that might influence my production, and I started to incorporate some old French house music that I listened to as a teenager. I think that really came through in the EP. I worked with Cherry Chola on three of the six songs, she’s become one of my favourite people to make songs with.” – 1tbsp.
Currently on tour across North America and Europe—including shows alongside Disclosure and his own Sumoclic Nights events—1tbsp continues to prove he’s one of Australia’s most versatile and forward-thinking electronic artists.
Hotel Living is available now, everywhere.
