3% Honour First Nations Heroes with Powerful New Single ‘Our Greats’

Award-winning First Nations hip hop collective 3% — made up of Nooky, Dallas Woods, and Angus Field — have returned with an emotionally-charged new single and video titled ‘Our Greats’, released today to mark the beginning of NAIDOC Week 2025.

Paying tribute to Indigenous icons such as Cathy Freeman, Patty Mills, Ash Barty, and Adam Goodes, ‘Our Greats’ is a celebration of Blak Excellence and the legacy of those who paved the way for new generations. Driven by a punchy, uplifting beat and an infectious chorus performed by children — including Nooky’s daughters and youth from the We Are Warriors (WAW) program — the track serves as both a tribute and a call to future greatness.

The accompanying video amplifies this message, following a young WAW participant on a life-changing journey to meet NBA star Patty Mills in the U.S., before weaving together historical moments of Indigenous brilliance. Throughout, Freeman’s iconic Olympic torch burns brightly — a symbol of enduring inspiration.

3% first broke through with their acclaimed debut KILL THE DEAD, which took out Best Hip Hop/Rap Release at the 2024 ARIA Awards and earned praise from Rolling Stone, NME, triple j, and more.

‘Our Greats’ builds on their legacy of politically-charged, soul-baring hip hop, and continues their mission to empower Indigenous youth and spotlight the stories that shape their community.
