44 Ardent Drops New Single ‘Wake Up’ Ahead of Forthcoming EP
Rising Australian producer 44 Ardent has unveiled his latest single, ‘Wake Up’, a vibrant blend of indie-dance and house that continues to showcase his innovative sound and forward-thinking production. The track follows on from his recent release ‘Curtain Call’, giving fans another taste of his forthcoming EP.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Caribou, Jamie xx and Tourist, 44 Ardent delivers a track that is as immersive as it is danceable. Driven by a wide, hypnotic bass line and layered with rich textures, Wake Up was born out of an unexpected moment of creativity.

“In the final stretch of my PhD I needed a creative break, so I started messing around with a Moog bassline,” he explains. “I ran it through a plugin that emulates an A/DA STD-1 Delay Rack Unit to make it super wide, and the rest of the song just wrote itself.” – 44 Ardent.
Wake Up captures 44 Ardent’s refusal to be boxed into one genre or mood, instead embracing spontaneity and fluidity in his music. With his new EP on the horizon, the single is a bold statement from a producer quickly carving out his place in the Australian electronic scene.
