44 Ardent Returns with Powerful New Single ‘Curtain Call’

Acclaimed Australian electronic producer 44 Ardent has unveiled his latest track Curtain Call, a cinematic, high-energy release that almost never made it past the demo stage.

Originally written as part of a film soundtrack pitch, the song was shelved after missing its submission deadline. Months later, 44 Ardent stumbled upon the unfinished file and heard its potential with fresh ears. What began as a rough sketch transformed into an immersive, hard-hitting electronic anthem.

Built around a towering, dark-edged chorus, Curtain Call delivers an intense wall of sound, pairing intricate production with an atmospheric edge. The track’s evolution is a testament to the value of revisiting old ideas, proof that sometimes the most powerful creations are hiding on forgotten hard drives.

Reflecting on the process, 44 Ardent shared that the core of the song remained almost identical to its first version, but a complete mix overhaul brought it to life.

“The core idea still sounded good to me, which is unusual. Often songs can sound much worse after some time away. It was very similar to the version you’re hearing now—just the mix was kinda terrible, so I gave it a solid tidy and here we are! It’s always great when you can bring an idea to life and let others hear it rather than let it sit forever on a drive.” – 44 Ardent.

Curtain Call marks the first release in a fresh run of new music from 44 Ardent, hinting at a bigger body of work to come.
