5 Things to Expect from Georgia Mulligan’s Stunning New Album Unheaven

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of Sydney singer-songwriter Georgia Mulligan and now the wait is over. Her brand-new album Unheaven has landed, a transformative body of work exploring love, loss, resilience, and the raw honesty of everyday life. Following her acclaimed 2023 debut Nothing Wrong, Mulligan has taken a bold step forward, blending indie rock, folk, and pop into a record that feels deeply personal yet universally resonant.

Five things fans can expect from Unheaven:

Internal vs External
The record balances the private and intimate with the external and everyday. Mulligan’s lyrics capture longing, grief, and love, while grounding those emotions in real places, moments, and experiences.

A Warm, Glowing Sound
Recorded partly to tape at Golden Retriever Studios, the album carries a distinctive analogue warmth, described by Mulligan as having “a rustling glow.”

Exceptional Musicianship
With contributions from Sydney heavyweights Clayton Allen, Maia Jelavic, Grace Turbo and producer Blain Cunneen, Unheaven feels alive with each musician’s unique interpretation.

Painful Honesty
Mulligan’s songwriting is raw and unflinching. Her candid delivery ensures listeners find connection in shared feelings.

Concise and Impactful
At just nine tracks and under 40 minutes, Unheaven is designed to be experienced in one sitting — equally suited to a jog, commute, or quiet reflection.

Unheaven is available everywhere now, with Mulligan celebrating its release at Sydney’s The Vanguard (Oct 3) and Thirroul’s Frank’s Wild Years (Oct 5).
