Abbey Lane Explores Growth and Self-Discovery on New EP Lessons Learnt
Rising Australian indie rock artist Abbey Lane has unveiled her brand-new EP, Lessons Learnt, a six-track journey through the turbulence and triumphs of early adulthood. Blending shimmering indie rock with tender alt-pop textures, the record captures the push and pull of self-discovery with both vulnerability and conviction.
“This EP is all about growing, learning and navigating your way through early adulthood. All the songs on this project revolve around different concepts of growth, whether it’s about learning from mistakes, feeling lost in life decisions, or learning from young relationships.” – Abbey Lane.

From the soaring guitars and pulsing energy of the opening title track Lessons Learnt, to the reflective warmth of Bigger Man and the dreamlike softness of Baby Steps, the EP moves between strength and stillness. Again & Again bursts with layered indie-rock colour, while Burning Out strips things back to Abbey’s most vulnerable performance yet. Closing track Younger, written on her first solo van trip, captures the freedom of the open road with buoyant guitars and a wide-eyed sense of possibility.
Lessons Learnt sees Abbey Lane deliver a collection of songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable, an honest soundtrack to growth, change, and resilience.
