Alana Jagt Reveals Her Much Anticipated Album, ‘Goodbye Grote Bollen’

Indie-folk artist, Alana Jagt has revealed her much anticipated album, Goodbye Grote Bollen. Featuring the previously released single, Stars Of Napperby, the nine track feature is a personal journey that is inspired by small town’s that Jagt spent her early years.

The album covers a range of genre’s, showcasing Alana’s knack for brilliant songwriting and her ability to convert song into storyline. The naming inspiration came from heartbreak as Alana’s family home was destroyed in a fire. As she examined the remains of the home, she came across a discoloured photograph, depicting a mysterious image of a cake that had the simple words, ‘Goodbye Grote Bollen’.

“Turns out, my parents once worked in a tulip bulb sorting factory,” she says. “When their time at the factory ended, they brought a cake in to celebrate. Grote Bollen translates to ‘big bulbs’… there could be a Dutch pun happening there, I’m not exactly sure, but I eventually came to think of these songs as my bulbs and now I’m saying goodbye to them.”  – Alana Jagt.

An impressive body of work, Goodbye Grote Bollen is a combination of wonderful songwriting, outstanding vocal ability and a diverse delivery of sound. Alana is set to hit the road in celebration of the album throughout October and November stopping through rural Victoria and SA.

Goodbye Grote Bollen is available now, everywhere.
