Alex The Kid Not Kidding Around With New Single

5-piece punk outfit Alex The Kid have released their first single from upcoming debut album ‘Speak Up’. The song titled Skate Or Lie has been highly anticipated by fans of the band, hailing from Geraldton and Perth, WA.

Skate Or Lie is a fast-paced punk track for the newcomers, with punchy drums, layered guitars, and passionate, emotive vocals. At just under three minutes, Skate Or Lie is a relatively short song, but it still makes time for a breakdown, complete with gang vocals which tie the track off nicely. The song shows a progression to a slightly more mature sound from last year’s single Unbearable Kid, and demonstrates how the band are growing tighter and more refined as a unit.

The band have a lot planned for the rest of 2016, with their debut album ‘Speak Up’ due out August 19th, 2016. The guys will also be supporting The Smith Street Band and The Bennies later this year, as well as completing an upcoming national tour.
