Another Triple J Hottest 100 Prediction – “The Tepid 100”

Triplejhottest1002015

Someone has (again) gone to great lengths to predict this year’s triple j Hottest 100, instilling confidence with the title “The Tepid 100”.

With less than two weeks left until the Australia Day reveal, Melbourne student Ed Pitt has collated over 2,000 ballots from voters by searching through Instagram posts under The Hottest 100 hashtag.

Pitt manually added over 20,000 individual song votes into a spreadsheet, using his research to predict what he believes will “mostly resemble” the actual Hottest 100 of 2015.

“What’s really surprised me is how people (and Sportsbet) have hugely overestimated the position of [Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s] Lean On, and [Drake’s] Hotline Bling to a lesser extent, and underestimated the position of King Kunta,” Pitt said.

Taking top spot in his prediction is Kendrick Lamar’s King Kunta, with Hoops by The Rubens coming in second, followed by Tame Impala’s The Less I Know The Better.

You can check out Pitts full prediction on his Tepid 100 Tumblr page.
