Aussie Metal Veterans Dreadnaught Return With New Album & Tour

Melbourne metal 5-piece Dreadnaught are set to return with their new album ‘Caught The Vultures Sleeping’ and a national tour! Having formed in 1995, ‘Caught The Vultures Sleeping’ will mark the band’s fifth album and their first new material this decade.

As one of Australia’s longest running metal bands, Dreadnaught have built a healthy cult-following in the underground metal scene, constantly reinventing their style and experimenting with new genres. The group started out playing thrash, but changed their sound during the 2000’s to be more rock orientated, before making a recent return to the heavier style they began with.

So far, only teaser videos have been released in lieu of the upcoming album, but from what can be heard ‘Caught The Vultures Sleeping’ is bound to be among Dreadnaught’s best material yet.

Over the years Dreadnaught has played countless shows around the country, both as headliners and supports for international bands such as Testament, Devin Townshend, and Nickelback. The group has also had an international release with ‘Down To Zero’, their second album and first with Roadrunner Records.
