Babe Rainbow Unveil Dreamy New Single Aquarium Cowgirl Ahead of Upcoming Album
Australian indie psych band Babe Rainbow has unveiled their latest single, Aquarium Cowgirl, a shimmering, acid-pop reflection on spirituality. The track is the third release from their highly anticipated new album, Slipper Imp and Shakaerator, set to drop on April 4th via King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s imprint, p(doom) Records.
Described by frontman Angus Dowling as a “dreamcatcher,” Aquarium Cowgirl explores themes of personal spiritual awakening and shifting perspectives. The track arrives alongside a trippy visual filmed at the Rainbow Temple in Rosebank, an iconic countercultural landmark reflecting the song’s themes of harmony and transformation.

Babe Rainbow—comprised of Angus Dowling, Jack ‘Cool-Breeze’ Crowther, and Dr. Elliot ‘Love Wisdom’ O’Reilly—are known for their breezy, psychedelic sound inspired by their Byron Bay roots. Their new album promises to be their most organic yet, recorded in a sprawling warehouse on an old banana farm, with producer Timon Martin helping shape its free-flowing, groove-laden energy.
Currently touring Australia and New Zealand, the band will take Slipper Imp and Shakaerator to the US in August, with festival appearances and headline shows across LA, Austin, and Seattle.
