Darwin’s BASSINTHEGRASS Festival 2016 Lineup Announced

Northern Territory Chief Minister Adam Giles today released an awesome line-up for the 2016 BASSINTHEGRASS, proving to the rest of the country that the top-end city can produce more than just cheap air-fares and plenty of croc stories.

Angus & Julia Stone, Bliss N Eso, Boy & Bear, Drapht, Hermitude, RÜFÜS, SAFIA, Tkay Maidza, and Violent Soho will all be appearing along with local artists to be announced in April.

Chief Minister Giles considers the festival to be a popular among locals of all ages and credits it to being “part of the great Territory lifestyle.”

“BASSINTHEGRASS is proudly presented by the Northern Territory Government which supports the event to the tune of $460,000 each year.

“This year’s line-up continues to deliver top class acts with something for everyone and every taste,” he said.

The 2016 festival will also see to cheaper tickets at a cost of just $65. And the good news doesn’t stop there! The tickets will include free public transport, free water vouchers to combat that good ol’ NT heat, and those who choose will be able to purchase the traditional souvenir BASSINTHEGRASS hat from the merchandise stand at the event for $5.

BASSINTHEGRASS Music Festival will be held at the picturesque Darwin Botanic Gardens Amphitheatre on Saturday 21 May.
