Bernard Fanning Announces National Tour & Upcoming Album
Aussie heartthrob and former Powderfinger singer Bernard Fanning is about to hit the road again, in support of his upcoming album ‘Civil Dust’.
After a highly acclaimed 21 year career, Powderfinger finally called it quits in 2010 after the release of their final studio album ‘Golden Rule’. Powderfinger has released seven albums, with five peaking at number one on the Australian charts with popular rock journalist Ed Nimmervoll claiming Powderfinger to be “one of Australia’s most popular radio-friendly rock bands”.
Fanning released his debut solo album ‘Tea & Sympathy’ in 2005 and followed it up in 2013 with ‘Departures’ which both reached number one on Australian charts. Like all songs written by Fanning, his latest collection has a story to tell, which will be continued in the follow-up album ‘Brutal Dawn’, focusing on Fanning’s choices and dealing with life’s consequences.
Fanning has given us a glimpse of what to expect in his latest album with the release of Wasting Time, a track filled with upbeat acoustic guitar work and Fanning’s signature husky vocals.
Fanning will be touring in celebration of the new release with shows around the country, joined by Ainslie Wills and Dustin Tebbutt.
Bernard Fanning’s third studio album ‘Civil Dusk’ is set for release on Friday, 5th of August.
