Bernard Fanning Wasting No Time With New Single
Brisbane ex-rocker Bernard Fanning is back with a new single Wasting Time, building on the country-folk sound he has explored since his first solo album ‘Tea With Sympathy’.
Opening with a pleasant piano melody, Wasting Time continues with a catchy acoustic guitar hook and anthemic chorus. The lyrics contrast against the upbeat music, telling a melancholic tale of falling out of love.
Since the seminal Brisbane-band Powderfinger called it a day in 2010, Bernard Fanning has been keeping things slow and steady, releasing his last album ‘Departures’ in 2013.
To make up for lost time, Bernard has announced the release of not one album, but two! ‘Civil Dusk’, is due for release on Friday 5th of August, with ‘Brutal Dawn’ to follow soon after.
