BIGSOUND 2024 Wraps Up with Record Attendance, Stellar Performances, and Industry Insights

Australia’s premiere music conference and showcase, BIGSOUND 2024, has wrapped up another highly successful event. From September 3 to 6, Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley was buzzing with thousands of music lovers and industry professionals from around the world, eager to experience live performances, insightful panels, and keynote addresses.

This year’s festival saw a 40% increase in attendance from 2023, highlighting the continued passion for live music and industry collaboration. QMusic CEO Kris Stewart reflected on the event’s impact, noting how it fostered positive discussions and new collaborations within the music industry.

One of the standout moments was Tones And I’s keynote address, where she encouraged emerging artists to stay true to their vision. Sharing her own experiences of success and challenge, she advised artists to embrace their individuality. Amy Taylor of Amyl & The Sniffers echoed these sentiments in her own keynote, while global icon Kelis offered career advice drawn from her 25 years in the music industry, emphasizing resilience and passion.
