BIGSOUND 2025 Announces Game-Changing Lineup Featuring WAFIA, Hatchie, Kaiit & More
Australia’s leading music discovery event, BIGSOUND 2025, has officially revealed its highly anticipated artist lineup, cementing Brisbane/Magandjin’s Fortitude Valley as the southern hemisphere’s epicentre of emerging music from 2–5 September. Showcasing over 120 artists across 18 stages, the festival returns with a stacked roster of rising stars, international buzz acts, and future icons of the industry.
Topping this year’s BIGSOUND 2025 lineup is global alt-R&B sensation WAFIA, who returns home following the release of her acclaimed debut album Promised Land. Joining her is Kaiit, the neo-soul powerhouse from Naarm/Melbourne, who is gearing up to launch their long-awaited debut LP And Off She Goes.
Local hero and shoegaze-pop standout Hatchie leads the Brisbane contingent, while 12-year-old hip hop prodigy Inkabee makes history as one of the youngest artists to ever perform at BIGSOUND. Indie-pop force Azure Ryder and electrifying rockers The Southern River Band also bring international touring momentum to the festival stages.

BIGSOUND 2025 continues its tradition of being a launchpad for the next wave of Australian music talent, with past alumni including Flume, Tash Sultana, and Tones And I. This year’s lineup reflects a bold and diverse soundscape curated by Festival Programmers Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne, alongside a trusted Programming Advisory Group.
Punters are encouraged to explore the unique, choose-your-own-adventure format, with one ticket granting access to a range of intimate venues and open-air stages throughout Fortitude Valley.
Backed by the Queensland Government, BIGSOUND is more than a music festival — it’s a cultural milestone and a major creative economy driver on the road to Brisbane 2032.
