BIGSOUND 2025 Unveils Expanded Artist Hub with Spotify: A Sanctuary for Musos Amid the Chaos
Australia’s premier music conference and showcase festival, BIGSOUND, is levelling up for 2025 with the return of its Artist Hub, presented in partnership with Spotify. Running September 2–5, this year’s hub is set to be bigger and better, offering showcasing artists a dedicated space for professional development, wellbeing, and much-needed downtime during the four-day music marathon in Fortitude Valley.
Taking over the iconic BrewDog on Brunswick Street, the BIGSOUND Artist Hub promises three levels of activity – from hands-on workshops and panels to quiet zones and networking events. Expect activations and support from industry heavyweights like APRA AMCOS, Select Music, Support Act, Community Music, American Apparel, and more.

Spotify is leading the charge with their Turn Up AUS initiative, hosting artist-exclusive breakfasts, welcome events, and workshops. “BIGSOUND is the perfect place to celebrate and champion Australian artists,” says Spotify’s Leah Harris. “We’re creating a space where artists feel welcomed, supported, and inspired.”
In a festival first, American Apparel will let fans buy custom merch printed on the spot, with proceeds going directly to artists. CASIO is also getting involved, setting up an interactive display and offering the chance to win a PX-S700HM piano. For a little light relief, APRA AMCOS will present a chaotic trivia session with Not On Your Rider.
As BIGSOUND continues to evolve, QMusic CEO Kris Stewart says the Artist Hub is about more than discovery: “It’s about giving artists the tools and connections for long-term, sustainable careers.”
