BIGSOUND Announces First Artist Lineup for 2024
BIGSOUND 2024, Australia’s premier music conference, has unveiled the first 70 artists set to perform this September in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. This year’s lineup promises an exciting mix of rising stars and established acts, making it a must-see event for music enthusiasts.
From September 3-6, the festival will showcase a diverse array of talent, including Peking Duk’s solo projects, Keli Holiday and Y.O.G.A., alongside other notable artists like Alex the Astronaut, Dear Seattle, Sly Withers, Stand Atlantic, and Gretta Ray. The lineup, selected from over 1200 applicants, also features promising newcomers such as total tommy and Noah Dillon.
BIGSOUND is renowned for launching the careers of artists like Rufus du Sol, Gang of Youths, and Tash Sultana. This year’s lineup continues that tradition, highlighting fresh talent like The Belair Lip Bombs, who recently toured the UK and EU, and ARIA-charted Rowena Wise. Post-punk band dust, fresh off an Australian tour with Interpol & Bloc Party, is also set to perform.
The festival emphasises the importance of showcasing First Nations talent, with performances from artists such as Maanyung, Ray Dimakarri Dixon, and Kiwat Kennell.
BIGSOUND is also offering affordable ticket options for young music lovers, with one-night passes available for $25 and three-night passes for $75 if purchased before July 31.
