BIGSOUND Announces Special Events and Networking Parties
BIGSOUND, Queensland’s premier music festival and industry conference, has unveiled a packed schedule of special events and networking parties for 2024. Known as Australia’s largest gathering for music professionals, BIGSOUND offers a platform for industry leaders to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the future of music. This year, the event promises even more opportunities for networking and discovery, with a diverse lineup of brunches, lunches, mixers, and parties designed to foster connections and inspire creativity.
QMusic and BIGSOUND CEO Kris Stewart highlighted the importance of these events, noting that they provide a unique space for attendees to form relationships and discover future collaborators. For the first time, BIGSOUND will feature international showcase performances at the newly renovated Marquee Bar’s International House. This series will include acts from around the globe, such as Taiwan Beats, the Splitworks ASIA Takeover, and the Manitoba Music Showcase, solidifying BIGSOUND’s reputation as a global gathering for First Nations musicians.

In addition to the showcases, BIGSOUND will host daytime events like the ASIA Pop Breakfast, the BEDA Country Lunchtime Show, and the JMC Academy Showcase. Attendees can also explore sessions on TikTok and music discovery, enjoy the BIGSOUND Sunset Cruise, and experience partner showcase parties like the ACCLAIM Showcase Party and the Unified BIGSOUND Showcase. The festival will conclude with the BIGSOUND Closing Party, an iconic event featuring special guest DJs.
