BIGSOUND Is Back In A Big Way

BIGSOUND 2015 stage

Prepare your ears and brush up on the latest music news because BIGSOUND, the largest music festival and conference in the southern hemisphere, is coming back to Brisbane this year!

Punters and music industry professionals will come together to watch some of the best musicians in the business, filling Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley with some sweet tunes from Wednesday 7th through to Friday 9th September.

Over the past 15 years, BIGSOUND has launched the careers of a stack of Aussie artists including Courtney Barnett, Gang of Youths, Boy & Bear, and The Temper Trap all having played at the industry festival before firing off into the global stratosphere.

“The BIGSOUND alumni list is a who’s who of Australian music,” said QMusic Executive Officer Joel Edmondson. “That BIGSOUND is a place where a public audience can share in the birth of those careers is something truly unique and special.”

Joining Edmondson has announced the curator 0f BIGSOUND’s 15th year anniversary is triple j’s Maggie Collins.

“We are excited about where music is in general right now and feel privileged to curate a tasteful line-up of the most respected and burgeoning artists from a wide range of genres and formats, as well as a conference that meaningfully explores what the industry currently faces,” said Collins.

Up-and-coming artists can head straight over to the BIGSOUND website to throw your hat in the race. Discounted early bird tickets for the BIGSOUND festival are now available at $350 a pop!
