Tacocat Devote Song & Video To Dana Katherine Scully

tacocat

They’re not just another punk band from Seattle! Indie-pop group Tacocat are relentless in their works when it comes to great music and old school TV shows and it’s turning heads. With the release of their highly anticipated album ‘Lost Time’, the 4-piece have dropped their incredibly cheesy and fashionable clip for single Dana Katherine Scully. Additionally, their work for The Powerpuff Girls new theme song will air this week on Cartoon Network.

Sticking with a theme of old school TV, Tacocat devoted a song and music clip to the one and only X-Files heroin, Scully. The song Dana Katherine Scully by Tacocat could have been straight from the 90s itself with short/sharp guitar chords and licks, thrashing drums and vocals dramatically like that of The Go-Go’s. Featuring a disagreeing colour scheme, tacky costume wigs and a stack of cliche 90s psy-fi skits the video captures the perfect balance of sarcasm and pure entertainment.

Along with the Seattle outfit’s devotion to The X-Files they also partake in music for other 90s series. Due to premier on Cartoon Network this week is the remake of The Powerpuff Girls. Coincidentally enough Tacocat are the talent behind the new theme song Who’s Got The Power.
