Bleach* Festival Mudgeeraba Showcase Sounds Absolutely Magical!

173666_home_heroOn March 12th, roughly halfway through the Gold Coast’s Bleach* Festival, Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast Hinterlands will come to life with an interactive installation of film, light, live music, and workshops, making it one of the most comprehensive stops of the 2016 program.

Deena and Gold Coast favourite Casey Barnes will be kicking the afternoon off with some incredible live music. Drawing inspiration from Nick Cave and Jeff Buckley, the self-taught, and self-styled Deena, who is considered a seasonal performer, will be treating the audience with a voice that is said to transmit raw and intense emotion live. Casey Barnes has performed internationally beside stars Bryan Adams and Mariah Carey, and is common act in the festival circuit.

As the sun sets, what follows is a showcasing of eight award-winning short films from the ‘In the Bin Short Film Fest’, followed by the screening of the Australian classic film Storm Boy.

To finish the evening, pack a rug and lie under the stars and soak in the brilliance of acclaimed projection artist Craig Walsh as he lights up the Hinterland Regional Park with one of the biggest incarnations of Luminaries.

This is going to a great afternoon, surely not one to miss with such an array of creative talent in one place.
