Here’s Who’s Been Added To Bluesfest 2018

Update 01/02 6.50pm: A slew of national and local artists have been announced to the already oversized Byron Bay Bluesfest lineup. Some highlights include Dan Sultan, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Steve Smyth, Mia Dyson and more. See the updated lineup below.

Original Story: Always ones to surprise and impress, Byron Bay Bluesfest has added stacks more acts to their 2018 linuep since we last reported on their debut artist lineup. We thought we’d give you an update on who else has joined the stacked five day event over the Easter long weekend.

One act who’s been added and has most ticket holders scratching their heads is Kesha. Though is festival is known to throw in a curveball on each year’s lineup—see Kendrick Lamar from a few years back—Kesha will still, undoubtedly, put on a fantastic performance following her comeback to music last year. Also added to the bill is two legendary female musicians, Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge—who’s a festival veteran.

Appealing to audiences old and new, Bluesfest has also allowed Holy Holy, Asgeir, Harts, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and more up-and-coming acts on the bill. For the older generation, such musical greats as Ziggy Alberts, Seal, Jackon Browne, The Wailers, The Original Blues Brothers Band and more have also been added.

Topped by none other than Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, he’ll be returning to Australia with his Sensational Space Shifters band. Byron Bay Bluesfest 2018 will also include Chic featuring Nile Rodgers and Lionel Richie who’s also performing other shows around the country at the same time. First Aid Kit and Jose Gonzalez round out the internationals with Tash Sultana and the John Butler Trio are the big names representing Australia.

Once again, Bluesfest will descend on Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm just outside of Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend.

See the incredibly massive lineup below—festival organisers have also stated that the lineup is still incomplete! So keep your eyes locked on AAA Backstage for further lineup updates. Tickets are still on sale for all days and multi-day packages, go HERE.
