Bootleg Rascal Drop Genre-Bending New Single ‘From The Very Start’ + Announce Tour
Gold Coast party-starters Bootleg Rascal are kicking off 2025 in style with the release of their new single, From The Very Start. Produced by Caleb Tasker (Rum Jungle, The Terrys) and mixed/mastered by Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone, Boo Seeka), the track is a vibrant fusion of hip-hop, reggae, indie rock, and 80s-inspired synths.
Opening with Carlos Lara’s silky R&B vocals, From The Very Start draws listeners in with laid-back grooves, fuzz-drenched guitars, and an irresistible sing-along chorus. The track explores themes of new beginnings—whether in love, music, or life—wrapped in Bootleg Rascal’s signature genre-blending sound.

Adding to the excitement, Bootleg Rascal have announced a national tour with their mini-festival BOOTY BLOCK PARTY, running through March and April with a lineup featuring Danté Knows, Dear Sunday, Dizzy Days, and Tasman Keith at select dates. The band will also head to New Zealand in May, playing across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown with Tauranga-based act The Darlings.
