Bootleg Rascal Unveil New Single, ‘Falling Star’ The Final Instalment To Their Staggered EP.

Gold Coast based party starters and all round lords Bootleg Rascal have unveiled their final single from their staggered EP ‘Collaborations Of Very Isolated Delinquents 19’, named Falling Star. The new single has some help from a couple of friends and rising names in Saint Lane and A. GIRL.

Falling Star is a romantic slow burning version of hip hop that keeps that familiar style and sound of a classic Booty track. It sees frontman Carlos really flex his cyphering skills, with the added touch of Saint and A.GIRL it makes for a smooth sounding hip hop classic.

“We’re stoked to finally work with some of our good friends Lane and Angel, Falling Star’ is one of our favourite tracks from the record, so to have them come in and lay down their parts is really special to us. The track itself is a metaphor I coined for when you’re smitten by someone you’ve just met, but it eventually all just fizzles out. I’m a hopeless romantic, so if I meet someone I click with, I like to start exploring whether there’s a legit connection or not. Sadly, sometimes the more you get to know the person, you realise they’re not right for you. Just like a falling star, it’s beautiful and exciting, but over really quickly.” – Carlos Lara, Bootleg Rascal

It’s been a fun filled few months for Bootleg as they set out to release a track per month in the lead up to the release of the EP. They have proven that their song-writing ability remains at top notch and remain as one of Australia’s favourite bands. We’re still hopeful that they head out and play their planned show’s in the coming new year.
