Bree Tranter Teams Up With Matt Corby for 10-Year Anniversary Remix of ‘Tuesday Fresh Cuts’

A decade after releasing her breakthrough single ‘Tuesday Fresh Cuts’, Bree Tranter returns with a stunning EDM remix of the beloved track, reimagined by long-time collaborator and acclaimed Australian artist Matt Corby.
Originally released in 2014, ‘Tuesday Fresh Cuts’ became a defining moment in Tranter’s solo career following her time as vocalist, keyboardist and flutist for The Middle East. Now, with Corby—who played bass on the original version—she breathes new life into the song, transforming it into a hypnotic, groove-driven dance track that honours both her artistic evolution and enduring friendship with Corby.

Tuesday Fresh Cuts has always been about growth, reflection, and the messy beauty of struggling with the inner thoughts of the mind. When I wrote it in my mid-twenties, I was trying to figure myself out—pouring everything into music with my best friends, but still struggling to find happiness… Ten years on, the song still feels alive. It carries the voice of who I was, but also who I’ve become. This remix celebrates that journey and breathes new energy into it.” says Bree.
Matt Corby adds, “For me, Tuesday Fresh Cuts already had this emotional intensity to it, so I didn’t want to lose that. I tried to reimagine it through the lens of the music Bree and I both love—something hypnotic, pulsing, and immersive, while keeping the soul of the original intact. The remix is about pushing that emotion into a new space, where people can feel it differently, maybe even on a dance floor.”
With over 6.5 million Spotify streams, ‘Tuesday Fresh Cuts’ remains one of Tranter’s most celebrated works—and this remix marks a bold new chapter in her creative story.
The ‘Tuesday Fresh Cuts (Matt Corby Remix)’ is available now, everywhere.
