Brisbane Punkers Shutup Shutup Shutup Do The Opposite

aaapressshot
Brisbane heavy hitters Shutup Shutup Shutup have released a new effort of angry punk rock entitled The Spit. Featuring crashing drums, distorted guitar, and harsh vocals, The Spit has all the makings of a good punk song. The Spit is the first release from the band since changing their name from Release The Hounds early this year.

The song is essentially three minutes of riot inducing, aggression spittin’ attitude. The vocals  are a clear highlight in the band, with multiple voices combining for a powerful performance. The instrumentals, while nothing groundbreaking or new, are solid and make for a good listen.

“We try and make the first hit of every bar the heaviest for maximum impact,” said bassist Tim McNaughton. “We all have super short attention spans so, it is pretty rare for us to visit a chorus more than twice, this song is a classic example of that,” said drummer Rory Harrip.

You’ll be able to catch Shutup Shutup Shutup at their launch show for The Spit on Friday, 23rd September at the Crowbar. Don’t miss your chance to see these legends live!
