Brisbane Rock Trio Liposuction Drop Debut EP, ‘Octopussy’
Brisbane rock band Liposuction has finally unveiled their debut EP, Octopussy, after two years of building anticipation. This release captures the band’s journey and growth, combining their well-loved tracks She Hz, Boring Residue, and Pour Some Dollars on Me with three fresh, powerful jams.
The new tracks on the EP bring a range of emotions and themes. Hell Hole, dives deep into the struggles of mental health, delivering a raw and honest look at battling personal demons. Guns Blazing serves as a defiant anthem for women, challenging stereotypes and overcoming male underestimation. The title track, Octopussy, takes a lighter approach, celebrating a woman’s playful fascination with ocean life and her whimsical desire to transform into an octopus.

All six songs were crafted by the band’s frontwoman, Sunday Hunter, who explains that these very tracks forged who the band are to this very day.
“When I first decided to start Liposuction, I wrote six songs in a few weeks to begin developing our sound and attract members to the band. Those six songs are the tracks on Octopussy, and while they have evolved over the last couple of years, this EP essentially represents the beginning of Liposuction.” – Sunday Hunter, Liposuction.
With Liposuction, Octopussy showcases their undeniable talent and proves they are a force to be reckoned with in the rock scene.
