Brisbane Rockers Jade Haven Release Alt-Grunge EP ‘Infernal Machines’
Brisbane quartet Jade Haven have just dropped their debut EP ‘Infernal Machines’. The group of songs evoke a modern metal mixed alt-grunge aesthetic while expanding on a variety of sonic musical elements.
Jade Haven’s blend of sounds make it difficult to categorise the band to one individual genre. The vibe of their EP shakes up from Infernal Machines, the first track on the album, to Eclipse, the Spanish guitar driven duet ballad. As you grace through ‘Infernal Machines’ you get to new sonic layers of Jade Haven’s, Soundgarden and Manchester Orchestra-esque EP. Its a solid mix of sonic flavours the band has to offer.
James, Stu, Jacob and Jesse, the four member of Jade Haven, hope to write music that is raw, sincere, and songs with real lyrical content that will “critique cultural dogmas of the 21st century, exploring themes of philosophy, social disorder, self-image, and tribal belonging”.
