Briskey Is Back With A New Single ‘Don’t Want To Talk About It’

Brisbane’s very own Briskey has returned today with some new music. A fresh upbeat, alt-pop tune in “Don’t Wanna Talk About It. It’s the first taste of his upcoming debut EP.

We first came across Briskey last year with his impressive debut single Nothing To Lose, which received a heap of praise of music tastemakers and fans from all over the globe with it’s warm electro-pop sounds.

The new offering is an emotionally driven song that tells a tale about love, fear and basically everything in between.

“This song is about being torn between committing to a relationship and the fear of going that extra step. It paints a picture of unspoken distance within a relationship and knowing that if it’s talked about the relationship might end.” – Briskey

Towards the end of the tune you will hear a super sexy sax solo. It was something that he was determined to fit into the track. And he did it super well.

“It was inspired by a lot of dance/electronic music that I was into at the time from artists like Hayden James, M83, Bag Raiders & Duke Dumont. I always loved the idea of having a cheesy sax line come in for the end like in Midnight City by M83, and it felt right to do that for this song.” –Briskey
